FAQ - Ghost Rider's Tattoo Shop

All Your Tattoo Questions Answered

Can I bring my own design or reference image?

Yes! We encourage clients to bring reference images, sketches, or ideas. Our artists can work with you to adapt or refine those into a custom tattoo design.

How do I book a tattoo appointment at Ghost Rider's?

You can book by stopping by the shop, calling us, or filling out our online consultation form. We'll talk through your ideas, preferred style, size, placement, and schedule a session.

Do you draw custom tattoos or just do flash?

Our artists love custom work. We create custom designs daily. If you prefer something quick or off-the-shelf (flash), we also have that.

How long will my tattoo take?

It depends on size, detail, color, and placement. Small tattoos might take less than an hour; larger or more complex pieces (like sleeves or portraits) may require multiple sessions.

How much does a tattoo cost at Ghost Rider's?

Pricing varies based on multiple factors-size, design complexity, placement, color, and how many sessions are needed. We provide quotes during your consultation.

Does getting a tattoo hurt?

Pain levels vary by person and location. Some areas (like ribs or ankles) are more sensitive, while fleshy areas may hurt less. But most people find the discomfort manageable, especially for a quality piece.

What if I have a health condition (diabetes, on medication, skin issues)?

Please inform your artist in your consultation. Certain conditions may require special care or extra healing time. If needed, we can recommend checking with your healthcare provider first.

How do I take care of my tattoo after it's done?

After your tattoo, we'll cover it with a bandage or wrap. Once removed (usually after a few hours, as advised), wash the tattoo gently with lukewarm water and mild, fragrance-free soap. Pat dry, then apply a thin layer of aftercare ointment or tattoo-safe moisturizer. Repeat 2-3 times a day as the skin heals.

How long does it take for a tattoo to heal?

Primary healing usually takes 2-3 weeks, but it can take up to 6 weeks for the skin to fully settle and for your tattoo to look its final best.

Can I go swimming, use a hot tub, or get direct sun during healing?

Not right away. Avoid swimming, hot tubs, or soaking in baths until your tattoo is fully healed. Also, minimize sun exposure; when healed, use sunscreen to protect your ink.
